As part
of
BBC Radio 3’s focus on Scotland,
Music Matters produced a special
Scotland Week show in Glasgow to catch up with the
latest from the country’s diverse and vibrant music scene.
The final feature was recorded at a recent practice of
The House of
Edgar Shotts & Dykehead Pipe Band, where Tom Service
interviewed Scott Currie and other band members about how
the band operates and what is involved with playing in one
of the world’s top competitive pipe bands. The show was
aired on Saturday 6 March, 2010 and is
available on the BBC iPlayer for a week after the
broadcast.

Top Secret - Die Show, held in Basel, Switzerland on 26, 27 & 28
November, 2009.
Top Secret - Die Show was a stage show of
the 10 year story of the world famous
Top Secret Drum
Corps from the city of Basel. Drumming is the biggest pastime in
Basel and the people of the city showed up to
St Jakobshalle
in their thousands to fill 6,000 seats per show for two and a half hours
of world class display drumming, audio, visual and pyrotechnic delights.
The Shotts drum corps was popular with the
Basel audience and they particularly enjoyed the solo performances of
Jim Kilpatrick MBE & Tyler Fry. The show was a fantastic experience and
was thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated by everyone in the drum corps.
